ABOUT US
We are Talking Backwards: an indie rock band of four years born in Kansas City, MO and currently based in Austin, TX. We have a unique sound as we draw influences from multiple genres such as math rock, folk and jazz. We released our sophomore studio album, “2 0 7” in 2025 and our first music video for our song "Close Enough" earlier this year. We are currently working on scheduling time in the studio to record album number three!
ACHIEVEMENTS:
won the American Royal World Series of BBQ’s annual Battle of the Bands in 2022
recorded and released an EP and two LPs
featured on radio stations such as 90.9 The Bridge, 90.1 KKFI and Warrior Radio
toured Colorado in 2024
performed with notable artists such as Me Like Bees, Lost Stars, JunkBunny, and Ruthie Craft
released a music video for our song "Close Enough"
